RPA Frequently Asked Questions
Process Steps
Initiate Data Entry
Begin by entering all state-required data into PeriData using the provided filters to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Launch RPA
Open Power Automate and navigate to the ‘Flows’ tab. Select the ‘Main’ flow and initiate the RPA run.
Monitor RPA Progress
As the RPA runs, make sure to log in to both PeriData and SVRIS, and stay hands free for the duration of the RPA running unless you notice an error.
Verify and Certify
After the RPA completes its run, verify the records in PeriData and SVRIS, ensuring all data is correct before certifying them in the system.
Common RPA Issues and Solutions
Does the RPA seem to be running incorrectly?
- The RPA is not perfect and often can get stuck via going too fast or slow for SVRIS, which can cause various different issues rather than one certain type. The easiest solution will always be to completely stop the RPA and restart the process.
- If this does not work, then we suggest manually skipping the record that is getting stuck (if there is one) by selecting “File”, then “New Birth”. The RPA will automatically detect this override and start the next record in your queue.
- If you are unable to troubleshoot this individual record, then we suggest viewing the common errors that appear below. After that, please reach out to our help desk found above for further assistance.
Record specific pop-ups while entering:
- When entering a record, sometimes an error message will pop-up. This could be various different issues, usually tied to an error in the data being entered into SVRIS
- When this occurs, we recommend choosing the option to skip it for now when it appears and correcting the issue in PeriData to ensure consistency
- Once you have corrected the record in PeriData, return to Power Automate and re-run the RPA. A pop-up will appear asking if you would like to download a new report or not. Select “No”, as this will download a new report.
RPA stops while running (Does nothing)
- If the RPA doesn’t seem to be proceeding as normal at any point (taking longer than 30 seconds to perform an action), we recommend stopping the RPA manually by opening Power Automate and pressing the “Stop” button that will appear where the Play button appeared first.
- From here, simply restart the RPA and see if it makes it past the point of getting stuck again. If not, please reach out to our support desk
Second Twin won’t run
- Twins are currently processed in a unique way with the RPA. Instructions on how to do so will appear automatically with twins
- Oftentimes the issue comes with the second twin. If the RPA doesn’t process the second twin, the solution is to manually open the first twin in SVRIS, then run the RPA again. The RPA will detect the screen and be able to pick it up as normal.
